SCHOOL TOGS – UNIFORM INFORMATION

Other equipment which students are expected to have:

  • Pen, pencil, ruler, rubber
  • Mathematics Equipment: compasses, protractor (a circular protractor is preferable) and a scientific calculator)
  • A suitable bag large enough to carry books and equipment.

Year 7 - 10 Boys

Blazer – Nunnery Green with NWHS Badge.

Jumper (optional)  Nunnery Green V-neck jumper with NWHS badge.

Trousers – Plain black, traditional tailored trousers. Not allowed: Denim style material, belts with buckles, chino style trousers or skinny style.

Socks – Plain black.

Shirt – White, traditional, button to the neck with white buttons

Tie – School Tie (worn to cover all shirt buttons).

Shoes – Plain Black (boots or shoes that look like trainers must NOT to be worn.)

Coats – Outdoor coats should be warm, waterproof and suitable for school use. (Denim, leather, tracksuit tops or hoodies are NOT allowed.)

Hair – Hair of a natural colour should be worn in a style which is smart, safe and suitable for life at school. Extremes of fashion are not acceptable e.g. lines cut in hair; obviously dyed hair. School staff reserve the right to judge this. In practical lessons long hair must be tied back for reasons of safety and hygiene.

Jewellery – NO JEWELLERY of any description is to be worn. A watch may be worn.

Make-up and nail varnish are NOT allowed.

Year 7 - 10 Girls

Blazer – Nunnery Green with NWHS badge

Jumper (optional)  Nunnery Green V-neck jumper with NWHS badge.

Skirt –Nunnery Green skirt with NWHS badge (knee length only) Style option from Schooltogs only.

Trousers – Plain black, zip fronted traditional tailored trousers. There should be no decoration on the front of the trouser. Not allowed: Bootleg cut, lycra or hipster style, belts with buckles, no denim style material, no chino or skinny style trousers or extremes of fashion.

Tights –Black or neutral. Not allowed: patterned or lace.

Shirt –Plain white unisex school shirt with collar button to neck to be worn with tie. Worn tucked into skirt/trousers. Not allowed: Patterned or frilled.

Tie – School Tie (worn to cover all shirt buttons).

Shoes – Black plain low heeled shoes. (Sling backed, open toed shoes, boots, trainers or shoes that look like trainers are NOT to be worn.)

Jacket, blazer or Jumper – (One of the above must be worn) Plain black, blazer or suit jacket style. Plain black knitted, V-neck. Year 11 tie school badge must be clearly visible.

Not allowed – Round-neck. Jumpers with a zip. Sweatshirt or Hoodies. Logos/maker’s name should not be visible.

Sports Shirt – Black & green polo shirt with NWHS badge.

Rugby Shirt – Reversible black & green rugby shirt.

Skort/Shorts – Black skort or shorts with NWHS badge (no cycle shorts).

Socks – White sports socks, Black football socks.

Footwear  Trainers (not converse or similar), Football boots.

Optional items  Plain black tracksuit bottoms, black thermal underlayer garment and plain black full length sports leggings.

Recommend items  Shin Pads, Gum Shield.

ALL items of UNIFORM and P.E. KIT should be named.
