MORE than 100 GCSE computer science and iMedia students from Nunnery Wood High School attended the EGX gaming convention at the Excel Arena in London. Students were able to get to grips with cutting- edge gaming technology and learned how these games are designed and how they are released. They also had the opportunity to meet with universities representing the game design and the multimedia industry. Computing teacher, Mr Boniface said: “It’s a successful and popular trip and we look forward to inviting GCSE Computer Science and iMedia students to our next EGX trip. “A team of our Year 10 students made it to the finals of a national competition where they were up against professional gamers. “The students had a fantastic day with thousands of others attending.” The trip took place on Thursday, September 22.
