How to look good at Nunnery Wood…

We are very proud of our uniform because we believe that it helps to instil a sense of identity and pride in our students.

BOYS – YEARS 7 TO 10

Year7-10boysuniform

Blazer – Nunnery Green with Badge.

Jumper (optional) Nunnery Green V-neck jumper.

Trousers – Plain Black (traditional style and material.)

Shirt – White, traditional, button to the neck with white buttons

Tie – School Tie.

Shoes – Plain Black (boots or shoes that look like trainers must NOT to be worn.)

Coats – Outdoor coats should be warm, waterproof and suitable for school use. (Denim, leather, tracksuit tops or hoodies etc. are NOT allowed.)

Hair – Hair should be worn in a style which is smart, safe and suitable for life at school (extremes of fashion or colour are NOT allowed.) In practical lessons long hair must be  must be tied back for reasons of safety and hygiene.

Jewellery – NO JEWELLERY of any description is to be worn.

A watch may be worn.
Make-up and nail varnish are NOT allowed.

Other equipment which students are expected to have:

  • Pen, pencil, ruler, rubber
  • Mathematics Equipment: compasses, protractor (a circular protractor is preferable) and a scientific calculator)
  • A suitable bag large enough to carry books and equipment.

GIRLS – YEARS 7 TO 10

Skirt – Nunnery Green skirt, straight style 125VL or pleated style 308, (knee length only) (available from Schooltogs)

or

Trousers – Plain Black tailored (NOT Lycra, hipsters or leggings.) (Button fly fastenings are NOT allowed.)

Shirt – White unisex school shirt with white buttons and a collar button.

Tie – School Tie.

Shoes – Black plain low heeled shoes. (Sling backed, open toed shoes, boots, trainers or shoes that look like trainers are NOT to be worn.)

Year 11 – Boys

Jacket, blazer or Jumper – (One of the above must be worn) Plain black, blazer or suit jacket style. Plain black knitted, V-neck. Year 11 tie school badge must be clearly visible.

Not allowed – Round-neck. Jumpers with a zip. Sweatshirt or Hoodies. Logos/maker’s name should not be visible.

Shirt – Plain white unisex school shirt with collar button to neck to be worn with tie. Worn tucked into skirt/trousers. Not allowed: Patterned or frilled.

Tie – Year 11 tie or a colours tie.

Trousers – Plain black, traditional tailored trousers. Not allowed: Denim style material, belts with buckles and chino style trousers.

Shoes – Plain black formal shoes. Not allowed: Boots, trainers or shoes that look like trainers.

Coats – Warm and water-proof. Not allowed: Denim, leather or tracksuit top.

Hair – Hair of a natural colour should be worn in a style which is smart, safe and suitable for life at school (extremes of fashion are not acceptable). In practical lessons long hair must be tied back for reasons of safety and hygiene.

Jewellery – NO JEWELLERY of any description is to be worn.

Trousers –Plain black, zip fronted traditional tailored trousers. There should be no decoration on the front of the trouser. Not allowed: Bootleg cut, lycra or hipster style, belts with buckles, no denim style material, no chino style trousers or extremes of fashion.

Shoes – Plain black and low-heeled. Not allowed: Boots, trainers, sling-backed, open toed or high heeled.

Coats – Warm and water-proof. Not allowed: Denim, leather or tracksuit top.

  • White polo shirt for P.E.
  • White socks for P.E. (indoors)
  • White gym shorts for P.E. (indoors)
  • Dark tracksuit bottoms and top (NOT hoodie)
  • Trainers
  • Black shorts for Games (outdoors)
  • Nunnery Green knee length socks for Games (outdoors)
  • Rugby shirt, fully reversible black/green
  • White thermal underlayer garment (optional)
  • Football boots
  • Shin pads

ALL items of UNIFORM and P.E. KIT should be named.
